Investigators located a white Range Rover matching the description of the vehicle involved in the crash Monday afternoon. Eyewitness News cameras were there as investigators were matching parts of the vehicle recovered from the crash to the vehicle found about a half mile away.

Police say both bicyclists were hit at the intersection of Bustleton and Cottman Avenues, right outside the entrance to the Roosevelt Mall, around 1 a.m. Monday.

They say the woman was not hurt but the man suffered serious injuries and had to be taken to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital in critical condition.

When police first got to the scene, they found the male victim lying in the street, along with bike parts all over the street.

The impact was so strong, that there was a mangled bicycle wheel that was left on the sidewalk.

They thought the man might be in his 30s, but it turned out he was 42 years old.

Police tell Eyewitness News vehicle parts recovered from the scene match a 2012 to 2019 Range Rover Evoque. There should also be damage to the right front bumper, headlight and mirror.

The color of the vehicle is unknown at this time, but Monday afternoon, police located a Range Rover with similar damage about a half mile from the incident.

Police have not confirmed it is the vehicle wanted in the crash.

People who live around the area tell Eyewitness News they often see cars traveling way too fast on busy Bustleton Avenue, like what officers say was the case early this morning.

Plus, it’s been raining off and on all night and visibility and street conditions haven’t been ideal.
