Tex Automotive is a subsidiary of the British Motor Heritage and produces original-specifications windshield wipers and mirror components for restoration projects. But while doing so, the company also has been collecting model cars and is now offering its collection for sale.

“A collectors’ goldmine, the selection has been amassed over many years by BMH in its role as global licensee for the Austin, Austin-Healey, MG, Morris, Rover, Triumph and Wolseley brands,” according to the news release.

“It comprises everything from one-off prototypes to limited edition runs, all boxed and in mint condition. A selection of the offerings can be found at”

What’s on the site is just the initial offering and represents only a fraction of the collection, with more stock frequently being added for sale.

Corgi 1/76-scale miniatures

Among current offerings are the Kyosho 1/18th scale 1959 Le Mans Triumph TR3S (£41.25), detailed Sun Star 1/36th scale RAC Austin Minivan (£55.00), and a selection of Corgi 1/76th scale Trackside miniatures (£3.50).

In addition to wipers and mirrors, the Tex Automotive website also features EBC brake parts, Samco silicone hoses and fuel caps and Renovo car-care products, as well as branded key fobs and other gift items.
