Ebay Motors takes the show on the road this fall to highlight and explore the myriad ‘Parts of America.’

For many reasons, it’s hard to separate American culture from cars. A national identity that stemmed in large part from expansion across a sprawling continent needed, literally, a vehicle. From the Model T to Route 66 and now into the age of EVs, cars have propelled Americans onward.

In recognition of the industry and culture it draws from, eBay Motors now seeks to celebrate U.S. automotive tradition with a national tour. “Parts of America” will see the company’s team travel to 12 auto enthusiast events across the country.

The itinerary folds in car cruises, tractor pulls, and even rock crawls.

Ebay Motors’ Cross-Country Car-Hauler

Ebay’s rig for the tour is a car-hauler. It’s loaded with eight bespoke cars that seek to portray the possibilities of building your own vehicle, and represent the various cultural worlds it encounters along the way.

The tour kicks off tonight in Hickory Corners, Mich., at the Gilmore Car Museum’s Wednesday Night Cruise-In.

There, eBay will help street rodder Alex Palmeri roll out a 2002 Ford SVT Lightning. The sidestep truck wears a one-year-only “True Blue Metallic” paint coat, and a big Whipple supercharger — sourced on eBay Motors — lurks under the hood.

“Parts of America” continues generally westward through mid-November. Public-facing stops include Bikes, Blues, and BBQ in Rogers, Ark. The nonprofit bike rally seeks to benefit women, children, and other “underserved members” of the Northwest Arkansas community from Oct. 5 to 8.

Later, the eBay Motors rig will stop at the Jeep Jamboree in Moab, Utah, on Oct. 28.

“Just as every region of the country has its own iconic landmarks or local food with unique flavors, America’s car culture is just as diverse,” said Ron Jaiven, eBay Motors General Manager of Parts and Accessories.

“Any serious gearhead can speak to the distinct regional differences of their hometown and debate why it belongs on the automotive map. ‘Parts of America’ celebrates the passion of these communities.”
